It certainly won't be a fighting game with one button combat. Red
Steel has better melee combat!

Well, sounds like a mere button masher to me. I will wait for the reviews
and what (select) others have to say about it, after they play it a while.

Name one well known, and then any 5.

Now, as you are a gaming reviewer that reviews ALL platforms, this should be
easy for you, right?

Famitsu is notoriously tough on this genre.

Well from this UBI forum, here's what one reviewer said basically,

"Famitsu 360 (Not so be confused with regular Famitsu)

10,8,9,10 - 37/40
[Un-Deux edit: no magazine scans allowed, sorry.]

Quick summary:

.Story is totally engrossing, like a great movie.
.Feels like a real next-gen action game.
.One-button combat is somewhat unsatisfying, but will make the game
accessible to more people.
.Story, worldview, presentation all top-notch.
.At times the map is hard to make out and there are bad camera angles. There
are lots of little annoying things like that. (From the 8 review)
.The acrobatic play mechanics are totally addicting"

Well, it does seem to be one button only, but time will tell. More
interestingly, is that this seems to be a 360 forum, so I wonder if there
will be a little difference in the PS3 version.

that's why the PS3 costs more than the 360.

That's exactly right, actually. You get a Blu-Ray player for that extra
money, while the 360 is sans a Hi-Def disc format.

OK, just played the 360 demo.

Honestly, the 360 version is sharper. Looks more colorful too on my
screen. (Both systems use component video cables at 1080i. I use a Sony
Grand WEGA 70" LCD Screen.)

Frame-rate seemed pretty close, but I think maybe the 360 was a bit
"quicker."

I'll be buying the 360 version.

Hey dumbass, I didn't mention sales standards, they are just simply sales.
But, if you are going to go by those standards, then you really lowered the
bar on standards for the 360. If 97,000 R&Cs sold in its first week for a
base install of 5.39 million PS3s, is a mediocre standard, then what is the
standard for 111,000 ACs sold for a 12.74mil 360 install base?

Just to cure you of your ignorance, the Ace Combat series is hardly a
"no name series". Ace Combat 4 was a greatest hits title for the PS2,
and the series is pretty much the only modern fighter jet combat
series on consoles that's not a joke. Just because you chose to
ignore the PS2's software library doesn't meant the rest of the world
did.

http://www.gamestooge.com/2007/11/02/poll-what-team-should-be-in-pirates-vs-ninjas-dodgeball/

Today, Gamecock announced a new Xbox Live Arcade title, Pirates Vs.
Ninjas Dodgeball, and mentioned that there would also be a Zombie
team. But that's shouldn't be all.

Today's poll is, what team would you most like to see join the
Pirates, Ninjas and Zombies? We start with four team types, and you
can add a type if you like. Here's the initial quartet:

Robots
Vikings
Dinosaurs
Pimps

Vote away, and tell us WHY you voted for whom you voted.

i = interlaced

p= progressive

1080i v 1080p

I know the difference between interlaced and progressive as far as how
they work, but what is the difference in what you actually see? Is it
major?

can be, yes. Your eyes are the best judge though...some people are more

Well, your question was very simplistic and straight forward, and you didn't
ask for specifics, you did ask what the difference was between "i" and "p"
and nothing more.

Anyway, did you read the link I provided?

Ghost Recon was the best release in 2002 (just a little after Live's debut),
and it showed great things for Live. Sony didnt really have a version of
online gaming, it wasn't anything. I think only a few games overall were
made to use online gaming for PS2 games, and even today there are not that
many. Even then, only the game developers provided for online play on 3rd
party servers, and most know how well that worked. Also, until the slimline
was released, folks had to pruchase a network adapter for the PS2 to do
online gaming

PS2 version was better? It got much lower scores than the Xbox version
overall by the critics.

Would having a bigger list really work out into something beneficial? I only
ask from my experience with the 100 limit now. I have about 10 people I play
with consistently, then maybe 20+ casually if they are playing something the
same. Many on my list I haven't played with for months. Having more would
leave more there that acts as a list really. I have deleted and added newer
friends many times over and I am sure I have been deleted by others I
haven't played with in a long time also.

Having owned both versions at one point I found the PS2 version,
although inferior from a technical standpoint, was general more
enjoyable because of the refined control scheme (items like the optic
cable and the lockpick mapped to the context menus rather than having to
equip them first). Sounds like a small change, but it made all the
difference for me.
