I just saw the ad for the Pc release of gears of war. It mentions it has 5
more chapters for the single player campaign. Which is supposed to add more
story & I think a new enemy. Has anyone heard if these are going to be
released for the 360 sometime? I'm hoping for xbox live and not a game of
the year edition if they do.
I know my Pc won't be able to handle the game.

Nope. The additional content isn't coming to XBL.
It almost makes me want to purchase a better video card so I can play it on
my pc.

PC Gamer says there's a bit of mental disconnect when playing Gears of
War on the PC. Like something's not quite right.

I don't see how you can claim that owners aren't buying movies. There
are a LOT more sales of Blu-Ray movies than there are of HD-DVD
movies. In fact, in the first 9 months of 2007, there were almost
twice as many Blu-Ray than HD-DVD movies sold.

You can say that attach rate of movies to players is much lower, but
sales are sales... no matter what the reason, Warner Bros. cannot
ignore that there are undeniably more Blu-Ray movies being sold. They
even pointed out that their top-selling movie, 300, did much better at
retail in the Blu-Ray format.

Except that you are completely wrong.

Did you even READ the article?

Silverberg went on to emphasize the Warner's strong Blu-ray sales, noting
that the studio's Blu-ray release of '300' is the format's top selling disc.
"We can definitely talk Blu-ray," said Silverberg. "We are committed to the
format."

Blu-ray disk sales is currently outselling HD-DVD by a 4:1 margin (9:1 in
Japan). Those are huge gaps to ignore unless MS is throwing money at you to
ignore them (a-la paramount)

You're assuming that my use of the word "fanboy" is an implicit

Real men call 'em like they see 'em. A spade is a spade. A retard is a
retard. And it's mentally challenged, not mentality challenged.

We tried the Pro Street demo last night. I LIKED IT! I haven't tried it
on the 360 yet... but I thought the feeling of SPEED was tremendous on the
PS3 version.

Now why would you say that? I gladly pay for X-Box LIVE. It opens a
can of "ass whip" (sorry, bad wrestling joke) on PSN right now in every
respect. I, unlike some, live by the token... YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR.

Absolutely right, as evidenced by the fact that XBOX Live is now
almost empty of Americans because they've all gone to PSN.

I played the Pro Street on the PS3 but I want to hear your opinion after you
had a chaance to play both.

Time Shift is definitely better on the 360.
I don't care for the game on either but it just appear to work and play
better on the 360.

Didn't you recently go after RMZ for posting about the developer who
said PS3 development was difficult? You also went off on me for even
asking which PS2 games Xbox gamers would be interested in playing,

not actually 100% true. the PS3 DOES have SOME performance, feature
advantages in its chipset over Xbox 360, but those are less than the
advantages that Xbox 360 has over PS3.

-that's just fact, not my opinion. I am not afraid to say where PS3
is stronger than Xbox 360 in certain areas because, unlike some Xbox
fanboys. on the otherhand, i'm not a Sony fanboy either. PS3 has alot
of limitations. so does Xbox 360, it just happens that PS3's
limitations are usually worse than Xbox 360's.

The news will surely come as a blow to Sony rivals Nintendo and
Microsoft, who have see sales of PS2 suffer somewhat due to the
introduction of Wii and Xbox 360 in recent years.

PS2 this week celebrated its seventh anniversary, during which time it
has sold over 120 million units worldwide. Yet this cut demonstrates
Sony's belief that the system's market is far from exhausted.

Last month, publisher bosses from the likes of Eidos, Ubisoft and
Atari suggested to MCV that a price cut on the console could massively
reinvigorate its sales figures.

New low-price 'compact' PS2 to arrive in 2008

Tim Ingham Today, 9:48am

Redesigned model boasts built-in power supply; 25 per cent price drop
likely

Thought PlayStation 2 hardware sales were going to quietly disappear
after the revenue frenzy of Christmas? Think again - Sony is preparing
to introduce a new, cut-price model of the console in early 2008.

MCV can exclusively reveal that this 'compact' PS2 will hit the US at
just $99 in the New Year - a reduction of $30 from its current selling
price of $129.

If a similar percentage cut is introduced in the UK, retailers can
expect to sell the revamped system for just £75 - or maybe lower.

The new version has a built-in power supply for the first time in the
console's history - allowing the platform holder to manufacture it
more economically and sell it at the bargain price.

Xbots love to rub it in about how poorly the PS3 has performed this
year even daring to go so far as to compare it to the disasteristic
Jaguar. Yet one only has to dig a little into history and reveal
Xbox's shockingly bad history.

Xbox debuts in 2001 with one of those worst game libraries in gaming
history. Anyone remember Bruce Lee? Nightcaster? Azurik ? The
console is pricey at $300 bucks.

Xbox is forced to drop their price a few months later

Xbox rapes users forcing them to pay big bucks for standard extras
such as a dvd remote and headset.

Xbox live debuts in 2002 with a mere handful of Live games. Gamers
have to wait almost a year before decent multiplayer titles come out.

Brute Force is hyped hugely as the next great Halo type game. The
game is a laughable failure with an extremely short game length.
Fable is a similiar experience.

The slogan "only on Xbox" becomes an industry joke as several of
Xbox's great exclusives are ported to other consoles. For example,
Splinter Cell found it's way on all other platforms, and even the
great Halo ended up on the PC with a superior version.

In 2005, Microsoft reveals that they literally lost billions on Xbox.

Microsoft decides to punish anyone who dares to mod their Xbox by
banning them from Live for life.

Just as Xbox was gathering momentum in 2005, Microsoft completely
drops all support in favor of Xbox 360. Xbox owners are forced to
update or brick their big black box.

Xbox 360 launches in 2005 with only one good game - Call of Duty 2, a
PC title. Xbox 360 would take almost a full year to release one
decent exclusive.

Despite a year head start, on September 12, 2007, it was reported by
the Financial Times that the Xbox 360 had been surpassed by the Wii in
terms of worldwide console sales.

Since 2005, Microsoft has yet to turn a profit with over 4 billion
lost. 1/4 of this cost went to repairing Xbox's lousy hardware with
their extended warranty.

Man, and you think the PS3 is doing bad?

Famitsu awarded Assassin's Creed a 37 (10, 8, 9, 10) out of 40, citing
the story, presentation, and acrobatics, while criticizing the one
button combat, map layout, and camera problems.
