Awe. You were doing so good up until you had to mention this. *sigh* ;-)

Next week is Uncharted the demo. That is by far my most important and
anticipated demo. I have zero plans of getting Time Shift or Pro Street but
I am very interested in checking out Uncharted.
Now if only MS or Sony could get a ACreed demo out.

I'll agree with you on that. I'm definitely interested in seeing and
playing the Uncharted demo. I hope it lives up to the billing. That will
be one PS3 game I will be buying if it does.

On a side note... Timeshift DEFINITELY looks better on the 360. I
thought the PS3 demo was UGLY. It was damn near BLURRY.

It turns out that Warner is not favoring Blu-Ray at all. In fact, they let
their Blu-Ray license expire last night on October 31st. Apparently, they're
set to announce exclusivity to one format or the other by the end of the
year. Hopefully, it will be HD-DVD.

Can you imagine the hue and cry if, say, the Harry Potter franchise
was HD-DVD exclusive? Or the upcoming Blade Runner set? (One more
month! Yay!)

For the record, it would seem that Warner does favor HD-DVD. More of
their movies are on HD-DVD than Blu-Ray and there are Warner titles
that can ONLY be had on HD-DVD. If it's true that their Blu-Ray
license has expired then it sounds like they're ready to jump. Maybe
they're holding out for some Sony payola.

I might let a 10yr old play RSV ,depends on his mental aptitude and also
Halo3 ,chances are he's already playing those games at a friends house.
I know he probably would love to have Gears Of War.
Ghost Recon2 might not be too bad either.
Blue Dragon and Eternal Sonata would be 2 excelent choices for a 10 yr
old.

Hmmm... that's a tough call. The best Xbox 360 games are outside his
age range.

If he can handle a long game with lots of reading I'd suggest Blue
Dragon. It's a role playing game with a good story and age appropriate
characters.

If the console is online you could download Geometry Wars. If it's not
online you can get a game called Xbox Live Unplugged which includes
the full version of that game.

Others have mentioned Kameo, that's a good choice and should be had at
a decent price since it's almost 2 years old.

Marvel Ultimate Alliance is a super-hero punch-em-up. Lego Star Wars
is good, but they're doing a "Complete" special edition in a few weeks
that might be worth waiting for.

I'd advise against any licensed game, the Surf's Up, Open Season,
Ratatouille, (insert popular animated movie here). At 10, he's
probably OK with them, but the quality on those games is generally
really, really low.

I find there's a night and day difference, graphically, between the
Playstation 2 and the Xbox 360.

Well, the fact that the PS2 image shows a game with cheap geometry and
jaggies out of the ass, I'd say you can tell a big difference, if even on
the same kind of non-HD TV.

Yes RROD is covered by the 3 year warranty and MS will either replace or
repair your 360 free of charge.Call MS and they'll send you a pre-paid
shipping box for you too pack it in. When you call MS ,they'll ask you
allot of questions trying to see 'if' you caused the RROD through
operator error. Just tell them you didn't use any 3rd party peripherals
like say a intercooler fan or a 3rd party power brick, don't even tell
them you used a surge protector, you just plugged it into the wall. Just
don't offer them information ,let them ask the questions first though
and just say NO to the obvious questions.

Jordan, get real will you, are all AC copies $150 and come with those
accessories? Were all Halo3 releases $130?

You're extremely weak on this one and you know it. The sales are shit for AC
if you want to go by install base, compared to R&C and the PS3 install base.

Seriously, I don't know... the only Ace Combat I've seen is the one
boxed with the controller. Is there a stand alone? Or is it like Steel
Battalion?

Yes, I was just at Meijer's (local Wal-mart type store locally), then Best
Buy and both had it for the usual start off price of $59.99. I didn't even
see what you were talking about at either store.

You mean total sales as in selling right now? If you mean true total sales
overall, the PS3 would have to jump fairly high for a long time to do that.
The 360, overall, still has a better than 3-1 total install base in Europe,
and almost 4-1 in the UK. Since the PS3 barely edges out the 360 in overall
sales in the UK (barelky over a thousand this week), that won't happen.
There is only a few countries where the PS3 has substantially strongers
sales, but these amount to something like 4000 PS3s to every 2000 360s. At
that rate, it won't happen even into the nex gen release.
