So, an opinion of FIFA08 is better than the PES 2008 demo is a fact to
you then? Wow, that makes alot of sense, milkweg. LOL!

well this proves that you don't own the console. I think the last firmware

They only released around 100 dev kits in June of 2005 (not early 2005).
The released close to 10,000 3 months before release in 2006 (August).

I think you missed his subtle jab...

For one thing, there hasn't been an announcement about a 360 version of
the game, even though a lot of people think it's only a matter of time.
Even then, the PS3 version will still be a limited time exclusive.

Also, considering the worldwide sales of the PS3, does it even make sense
for Konami to do a release?

True not officialy announced but word on the dev street is it'll be a
non-Kojima-port ,meaning a different development team. Possible
different story arc?
On the other hand,
I think Splinter Cell:Conviction is gonna be good, maybe great. I was
playing Double Agent last night and realized how good they did the
character animation and shading, its really quite artistic. Its been
awhile since I played DA I forgot how good the characters looked
,especially Sam Fisher.I wish Bioshock had more that 'real' human look
not cartooney like Bioshock or oversized arms like Gears.
Trying to get 100% stealth in DA is fun ,not just run and shoot, I love
games that require you too think more.

The graph is from Nintendo and does show the Wii still outselling both
but it also shows PS3 sales in Europe have tripled in the past two
weeks and sales are triple of the xflop 3-shitty. The xflop 3-shitty
has already lost Japan and is now on the way to totally losing Europe.
It outsold the PS3 for the week of the Gheylo 3 launch but fell off a
cliff after that. That is with the Gheylo 3 launch representing 3
years of build-up with nothing else on the horizon even coming close
to the zombie hype train Micro$lut made out of that piece of total
crap. By the middle of next year, it will be obvious the xflop 3-
shitty had experienced total defeat in Europe. That will leave only
the North American market left and a console cannot survive, much less
win by maintaining a foothold in only 1/3 of the world market. Add
that to the fact the xflop 3-shitty is selling at a much lower rate
than the XFLop, with sales flattening, and it is obvious the xflop 3-
shitty is on its death march. And before the copycat xflop fanbitches
come back with their usual "I am rubber, you are glue" response for
the PS3 being in the same situation --- it isn't. PS3 sales are slow
but they are still increasing, not flatlining like the xflop 3-shitty.

Consider this, though- the original Xbox had a far superior online
component compared to the PS2,
yet it still came in second by a substantial margin. The Wii is
already ramping up console sales, despite
a weak online system. There is no doubt that an online component is a
consideration. But what you're
saying sort of misses my point- online multiplayer is not a necessity
for something to have "replay
value". As for PC online gaming dictating console gaming, I don't see
that, with the exception of
FPS games. Games like God of War and Grand Theft Auto 3 weren't
inspired by Quake, that's for
sure. And Halo, probably one of the most popular console FPS games,
diverged from PC FPS tradition
by having a fairly significant gameplay element that pulled out of the
first person view- vehicular combat.

I heard about note lag on the PS3 about 2 months before release (some
"blogger" played it at a trade show and reported it was a *serious* issue),
but I haven't heard anything about it since.

I have it on PS3 and haven't noticed any lag, though I'm new to the series.

Well first, barre chords are hard (takes a long time to even build up the
finger tolerance to play them), but second..even knowing them doesn't help
if you can't change them in rhythm, which takes months...if not years of
practice.

Is there anyway to connect a wireless router to a 360 so I can use the
360 wirelessly without having to purchase the Microsoft wireless
device?
If so, what should I look for in the router to see if it will be
compatible?

Thanks.

Does the Arcade or any other 360 run cooler or have any performance
gains over the older ones?

Thanks.

No performance gains, just runs a little cooler if the new console you
purchase ends up having the new falcon mobo and the 65nm cpu on it.

Still, the overheating problem associated with the 360 is due to the
gpu in the console, not the cpu. And the gpu is still the older 90nm
fab and the new 65nm gpus won't be going into the 360's until about
this time next year.

Make sure your Lot# is 0734 or greater and has a later manufacturing
date of 08/24/07, as reported here,
http://forums.xbox.com/15804553/ShowPost.aspx.

I honestly doubt that the new heatsink, along with the new mobo and
the smaller fab 65nm cpu will significantly reduce the 360's RROD and
overheating related problems though. It's just woefully
underventilated in the first place. And they haven't dealt with the
biggest culprit of the RROD issue, the gpu.

But it still doesn't hurt to get your hands on the newer lots.

Proof, yet again, that the 360 has the greatest library of games this
generation.
